Review: St. Ives Fresh Hydration Continuous Spray Lotion

St. Ives Fresh Hydration lotion, spray lotion, continuous spray lotion, @girlythingsby_e

Well, the spray lotion trend is starting to spread. If, like me, you were excited over Vaseline releasing their Spray n' Go lotions last year, then you are in for a treat. St. Ives jumped on the bandwagon. I'm extra excited about this release because St. Ives Coconut Milk & Orchid Extract lotion is my favorite drugstore lotion. I just love how it smells of coconut without slapping you upside the head. But I'd switched over to Vaseline's cocoa butter scent because I liked that the spray lotion felt light on my skin. I love the smell of cocoa butter, but I missed my more subdued Coconut Milk & Orchid scent.

Lo and behold, I don't have to compromise any longer. Plus, now we have a few extra scent options. And, who doesn't love some options?

So, here's the skinny loves. The Fresh Hydration line by St. Ives offers you the exact same performance you've become accustomed to with Vaseline's Spray n' Go. It goes on light as a feather, absorbs into skin immediately, dries down quickly, has the same amount of product (6.5 oz), and costs the same ($5.99 at Target).

Basically, if you loved one, you'll love the other. And vice versa.

Pros:
  • Easy to use
  • Light weight
  • Inexpensive
  • Accessible
  • Quick drying
  • Lighter scents (my Cocoa butter one had a more noticeable scent profile)
  • Coupons available for extra savings
Cons:
  • You'll go through these faster than regular lotion especially if used daily
  • May not be hydrating enough if you have very dry skin
