Dresses! Dresses! Dresses!

So, I got engaged this weekend, and just in the nick of time, with people discussing such events as engagement parties, bachlorette soirees, and bridal showers (not to mention the grand event itself), I stumbled upon this fabulous website (thanks to Glamour Mags Twitter account - those ladies never fail me) called Rent the Runway. It seems like an awesome service. You pick out designer wear, rent it, and then return it, saving yourself precious cash. Afterall, with so many ocassions where I'll see many of the same people again and again, I'll need to avoid repeat outfit offenses, and I'm not made of money, so I can't go spending hundreds on clothes I may only wear once. Here's how it works:
  • You choose dresses from RTR's ample selection (they even break it down by potential events, like girl's night out, office party, and this-is-getting-serious dates). They vary in price, anywhere from $50 and up.
  • You select the dates you'd like to rent the dress for, and then your size (you can even rent a second size for free, so no need to worry about whether or not it will fit - you get a back up!)
  • Wait for your dress to arrive, wear it, and return it. Simple!
Now, before you worry, here are some really great assurances:
  • Return shipping is free. Standard shipping to receive your order is $12.95
  • RTR takes care of the dry cleaning, and ensures your dress is properly laundered before you receive it
  • The dresses are insured for regular wear and tear, so if you accidentally snag a zipper, relax it's covered
  • They rent accessories, so you can spruce up a dress you already own too
Sounds awesome, right? That's what I thought, and now I feel better prepared for all the potential occassions in my near future. Bring it on, just give me enough time to order my dress!

Join Rent the Runway here, and peruse their collection for yourself!
